SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — The Wallette Branch of Shreve Memorial Library encourages students to display their horseshoe-tossing skills and history knowledge at the HARK Horseshoes and History Festival.

The event will feature learning stations highlighting regional history and culture through hands-on activities, science experiments, presentations, games, and fun challenges.

Student leaders from Booker T. Washington High School will guide students through a rotation to the stations.

Stations will include a discussion of Louisiana culture, games, and wildlife during colonial times, presented by Interpretive Ranger Felicia Gates from Fort St. Jean Baptiste State Historic Site.
