LINCOLN, Neb. (Nebraska Athletics) - Nebraska’s Emmett Johnson and TJ Lateef were recognized for their performances in Saturday’s win over UCLA on Monday afternoon.

Johnson was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, while Lateef shared the Freshman of the Week honor with Mason Posa of Wisconsin. In addition, Lateef was one of eight quarterbacks named by the Manning Award as its “Stars of the Week” It is the first Big Ten honor for both Johnson and Lateef.

Johnson was honored after accounting for a career-high 232 yards from scrimmage in Nebraska’s 28-21 victory. The junior from Minneapolis had 129 rushing yards and a career-high 103 receiving yards on three receptions to become the first Husker running back in school history to surpass 100 rushing and 100 receiving yards in the same
