WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — A Waterbury man was arrested Monday and charged with murder for his involvement in a fatal September shooting in Waterbury.
Gerard Brown, 45, was arrested on Shultas Place in Hartford by U.S. Marshals, Hartford Police SWAT Team and Waterbury Police.
On Sept. 15, Waterbury police responded to a shots fired call on Charles Street. The victim, who was identified as 29-year-old Charles Garay, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Brown was charged with murder, criminal use of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, illegal discharge of a weapon and first-degree reckless endangerment. He is being held on a $3 million court-set bond.
