The Palmer Township Planning Commission is considering plans to demolish a dental office and replace it with a bank at a busy intersection on Route 248.

Strausser Enterprises has proposed developing a Chase Bank at Nazareth and Kingston Roads across from the Sheetz gas station in Palmer Township, according to meeting minutes from the Oct. 14 planning commission meeting.

Fabey Dental would be demolished to make way for the bank, the minutes say.

The planners voted 7-0 at the meeting to table the proposal to allow the developer to address some technical concerns, including traffic flow and sight distances at the driveway, and the brightness of an illuminated sign.
