WABAUNSEE COUNTY (KSNT) - Kansas emergency crews are at the scene of a highway crash in Wabaunsee County Monday just north of McFarland where two people are confirmed dead.
First responders have closed I-70 eastbound around noon on Nov. 10 near where the highway meets with Senne Drive, according to KanDrive.gov. A crash involving two vehicles is being reported in the area.
Jodi Clary with the Kansas Highway Patrol told 27 News the crash involves a commercial motor vehicle and a passenger car. She said two people are confirmed dead in the crash.
Drivers traveling east on I-70 are being directed off the highway at Highway 99 and on to Highway 24 eastbound. People are encouraged to use caution when traveling through this area.
