NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Tennessee Department of Health is warning of a recall on an infant formula after reports of multiple cases of infant botulism illness.
The TDOH’s warning comes after The Associated Press reported Saturday that officials are investigating 13 cases of the illness in 10 different states. No deaths have been reported.
The FDA reports that ByHeart Inc. has recalled two lots of the company’s Whole Nutrition Infant Formula. The AP reports that infants with the illness all got sick after consuming formula from the following lots: 206VABP/251261P2 and 206VABP/251131P2.
The formula is sold online and by major retailers, the TDOH said.
