WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The City of Wichita will soon have a new manager. Today, we expect to learn who the city may hire for this important role. This announcement comes as the current city manager, Bob Layton, is set to retire at the end of the year.

To aid in the search for candidates, the city council hired a consultant to assist with the selection process. This afternoon, city leaders will hold a briefing to announce the finalists for the position. We will be at City Hall to cover the briefing and find out who is in the running for the job.
