CHEBOYGAN COUNTY — The arrival of winter-like weather proved to be a challenge for drivers and first responders in Cheboygan County.
According to a Nov. 10 news release from the sheriff’s office, they and Michigan State Police responded to 28 weather-related crashes throughout the county on Sunday.
Cheboygan County Sheriff Todd Ross said the first snow of the season always catches a few drivers off guard.
He is asking people to give themselves extra time, increase following distance and drive cautiously as we enter the winter season.
He also expressed appreciation for the job deputies and troopers did when responding to the more than two dozen calls.
No injuries were mentioned in a release they put out Monday.
