OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A blend of Afropunk energy with Boho flair was this year’s theme at the Kiki Networking Brunch in Omaha.
The brunch, hosted by I Be Black Girl , aims to foster job opportunities and promote maternal health for African American women.
A celebrity was also in the midst.
Actress Tatyana Ali, best known for her role in The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, attended the event.
“Tatyana Ali, she does a lot of work -- not just as an actress, she’s a mother and she does a lot of advocacy within maternal health. And so, she was a perfect fit and the fact that she followed us was a plus,” said Nezzie Hardges, Development Coordinator for I Be Black Girl.
Ali served as the keynote speaker at the event at the Palazzo on Saturday.
