Julian Nagelsmann has suggested Liverpool ’s lack of stabilty and Florian Wirtz ’s team-mates are partially to blame for the Germany midfielder’s struggles.
Wirtz is yet to hit the ground running at Liverpool following his £116million move from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old has failed to score or register an assist in the Premier League this season and was labelled a “problem” by Gary Neville following an ineffective display in the 3-0 loss to Manchester City at the weekend.
However, Naglesmann has jumped to the defence of the playmaker, citing major changes at Liverpool which has made it harder for Wirtz to settle in.
“To be honest, the whole situation does not make it easy for him either," Naglesmann said at a news conference on Monday.
