BUSHWICK — GOWANUS-BASED NONPROFIT Big Reuse will open a new thrift store for home goods and clothing at 378 Troutman St. in Bushwick in mid-December, according to Brownstoner. The 5,000-square-foot space will be built out with reclaimed scaffolding lumber. Consumer items include books, glassware, and kitchen items, but not furniture or building materials like its Gowanus flagship .
Executive Director Justin Green said the expansion follows a “surge of interest in thrifting and reusing stuff and it felt like we have the momentum to keep going forward.”
