FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The passenger who died in the crash in Central Fresno Sunday morning has been identified as 30-year-old Crystal Barrera.

On Sunday around 1:45 a.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle fatal collision at Cedar and McKinley avenues.

Investigators say that a Honda was speeding north on Cedar when it approached the intersection and rear-ended a Chevy Impala.

The impact pushed the Chevy through the intersection and into the southbound lanes of Cedar.

The male driver in the Chevy had serious injuries and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center. However, Barrera was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Honda was also taken to CRMC with moderate injuries and was arrested for driving under the influence.

The collision remains under investigat
