A selfless veteran from Kenosha, Wisconsin, was given a gift to help her continue supporting fellow veterans.

Lottie McGill received a new car in Milwaukee on Thursday as part of Progressive Insurance's annual "Keys to Progress" program, which supports veterans.

McGill travels across the country with her service dog to help connect other veterans with resources. But a crash totaled McGill's car, draining her savings. She said she relied on car rentals and rides from friends to complete her mission until she was handed the keys to her new car.

"Seeing the stigma associated with PTSD among veterans and having PTSD myself, it's just a passion, a calling that I have," McGill said.
