There were some anxious moments during the Saskatchewan Roughriders ’ 24-21 victory over the B.C. Lions in the CFL West final on Saturday at Mosaic Stadium.
One of them came following an unexpected scamper by 39-year-old quarterback Trevor Harris, who got tackled roughly and stayed on the turf for a few moments afterwards while the sold-out crowd of 33,350 held its collective breath. Harris was OK, he even ran again later in the game, plus he conducted a last-minute, 74-yard touchdown drive that culminated with a game-winning touchdown pass to Tommy Nield.
