LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Nevada’s largest teachers union is throwing its support behind Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo for a second term in 2026.
The Clark County Education Association (CCEA), which represents more than 18,000 educators, officially endorsed Lombardo, calling him “an education governor for all Nevada’s students.”
“His leadership has helped pave the way to ensure all students have an opportunity to receive a quality education in Nevada.” CCEA President Marie Neisess said. “Working with CCEA has been a true partnership, and he has earned to be elected for a second term in 2026.”
During his first term, Lombardo worked closely with CCEA to push through major education reforms, including: • A record $2.5 billion investment in K–12 public schools — the largest in state history. •
