Baltimore City firefighters battled a three-alarm blaze in a building in the Hampden neighborhood Monday evening.

Firefighters responded to the 3300 block of Keswick Road in North Baltimore in a three-story commercial building.

The historic building near the corner of 34th Street and Keswick Road is commonly known as “The Castle” and is the former site of the city’s Northern District Police Station.

“Crews are working diligently to contain the blaze and ensure the safety of all individuals involved. Please avoid the area and updates will be provided as they are available,” fire officials said in a social media post on X.
