OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - There is a lot of history in the Little Bohemia neighborhood.
Tom McLeay, CEO of Clarity Development Company, has plans to redevelop the ‘Little Bo’ neighborhood and save more than a half dozen buildings and four homes constructed in the late 1800s to the early 1900s.
“All the way back to when it was what my understanding is was the largest Czech population in the United States, about 1900,” McLeay said.
The area from Pierce to Hickory and about 12th to 15th streets contains buildings that warranted a national historic district designation because there are so many buildings in the district.
One of the buildings in this historic district was once home to the Donut Stop. First Alert 6 did a story seven years ago when this place was set to close its doors.
