Woman arrested for stabbing and drug possession in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — A November 7 incident resulted in an arrest and serious injuries to the victim.

Officers responded to the 500 block of Stone Avenue to investigate an alleged stabbing.

When police arrived, officers say they were informed that after an altercation, 25-year-old Kathleen Strong had allegedly cut another woman in the face with a knife.

A woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment with lacerations to her face.

Strong was taken into custody for aggravated battery. During the arrest, officers claim they found a pipe commonly used to smoke methamphetamine, adding possession of drug paraphernalia to the arrest.
