The NBA is fining Brandon Ingram for his actions during Saturday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Ingram was levied a $25,000 fine by the league on Monday “for forcibly throwing his water bottle to the floor while on the bench” during the Toronto Raptors‘ loss.
The incident occurred with 6:25 remaining in the third quarter and forced a delay in the action to dry the court. Ingram’s throw also made contact with a game attendant.
Before heading to the bench and tossing his bottle, Ingram was called for a foul on the defensive end and limped into the crowd in visible pain. He returned to the game shortly after.
The 28-year-old ended up playing 37 minutes in the 130-120 loss, scoring 21 points, grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out five assists.
