Warmer weather will move back into New Mexico again Tuesday. A storm system moves in late this week bringing rain and mountain snow chances.
Chilly temperatures settled into New Mexico Monday morning, with widespread freezing and near freezing temperatures. Highs this afternoon have started a warming trend though, climbing back above average for most of the state. Temperatures tonight won't be nearly as cold as this morning. A westerly wind develops Tuesday afternoon, with gusts up to 35 mph in eastern New Mexico. This will bring even warmer temperatures statewide, with near-record high temperatures in eastern parts of the state.
Winds will be lighter Wednesday and Thursday as temperatures remain above average and our weather stays dry.
A cutoff low pressure system will begin moving tow
