VAN ZANDT COUNTY, Texas — No injuries were reported after a Canton ISD school bus was involved in a crash.

The crash occurred on FM 16 in Van Zandt County after school Monday. A spokesperson for Canton ISD said the students were checked immediately after the incident by school personnel and emergency responders.

"Safety is our top priority, and we are committed to keeping our students safe at all times, Superintendent Dr. Brian Nichols said in a statement. "We are working closely with local law enforcement to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
