WASHINGTON, DC (KKTV) - With lawmakers in the U.S. Senate advancing a deal to fund the government, Colorado’s representatives said they are ready to head to Washington to discuss the proposed bill.

Over the weekend, lawmakers appeared to have reached a deal , finally voting to advance a bill after a more than 40-day stalemate. While a vote has yet to be had on advancing the bill itself to the U.S. House, as of writing, representatives said they are ready to return to work.

On Monday, House Speaker Mike Johnson said he wanted to approve the bill as soon as possible if the senate votes to advance it.

Colorado Representative Jeff Crank said he’s ready to send it to President Trump’s desk.
