MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) The Memphis Safe Task Force includes more than a dozen law enforcement agencies.

In the first month, MSTF reported over 1,800 arrests.

Among the busiest officers have been ICE agents, who, according to data provided by the Memphis Safe Task Force, made 319 civil arrests in October alone.

The Case of Delmar Raymundo Gomez-Lopez

One of those arrested was 38-year-old Delmar Raymundo Gomez-Lopez, an undocumented immigrant from Guatemala.

His 17-year-old daughter Nancy Gomez says she remembers the night he was arrested.

“I was at home, and I was already in my bed sleeping and then I hear my brother knocking on the door and he said, ‘Nancy come here. Something happened. Something happened to dad,’” said Gomez.
