Oregon guard Elisa Mevius has been lost for the season with a knee injury, it was announced Monday, dealing a blow to the women’s basketball team’s small-ball lineup.
The injury occurred during the fourth quarter of Oregon’s 90-47 win over Montana on Saturday night at Matthew Knight Arena.
Mevius, who has yet to use her redshirt, could return to the Ducks next season.
She began her college career with Siena in 2022 and played two seasons with the Saints before transferring to Oregon following the 2023-24 season.
Mevius, who scored 10 points Saturday against the Grizzlies, appeared set for a breakthrough season as the Ducks’ top returning scorer.
Last season, she averaged 6.6 points and 3.0 assists, shooting 44.2% from the field in 22 minutes per game.
