BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida man returned from a tropical vacation Sunday, only to find himself in handcuffs.
Michael Mock, 48, of Port Saint Joe, was arrested by the Brevard County Sheriff's Office on Nov. 9 while getting off a cruise at Port Canaveral.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) said Mock was the subject of a child sexual abuse investigation that began before he got on the ship.
According to investigators, a victim had recently come forward accusing Mock of a crime that happened around six years ago.
Authorities said they found probable cause to charge Mock with sexual battery on a victim under 12 and lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim under 12 — both felonies with potential life or capital sentences.
