Actor Shilpa Shetty and her husband, businessman Raj Kundra, have approached the Bombay High Court seeking to quash an FIR registered and the investigation by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police in connection with a Rs 60 crore cheating case.
Advocates Yusuf Iqbal and Zain Shroff, appearing for the complainant, informed a bench of Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar and Justice Gautam A Ankhad that they had not yet been served with copies of the two petitions filed by the couple. The bench subsequently adjourned the hearing to November 20, allowing the state and the complainant time to file their replies.
