A head-on crash killed a driver and seriously injured another, state police announced.
The collision happened on State Route 20 in Nassau on Friday, Oct. 10 at approximately 2:10 p.m., when an eastbound vehicle crossed into the opposite lane and struck a westbound vehicle head-on, according to state police.
The driver of the eastbound vehicle was taken to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries, and the westbound driver was pronounced dead at the scene, investigators said.
State Route 20 was closed between State Route 66 and Kinderhook Lane until about 6 p.m. for investigation and reconstruction, but has since reopened, according to state police.
