GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Grand Island Police are investigating an arson case after a fire was reported over the weekend at the Island Strip Mall.
Grand Island Police said the fire department responded to a fire in a wooded fenced trash area near Harbor Freight on N. Webb Road around 5:30 a.m. Saturday.
Division Chief Dean Elliott said the fence was damaged along with a couple of dumpsters. He said Heartland Disposal estimated damage around $2,500 while Island Strip estimated around $2,500 in damage to the fence.
Police are still checking surveillance video but said they are looking for a silver van.
