OCHLOCKNEE, Ga. (WCTV) - After an intense hail storm over the weekend and plunging temperatures, Lindy Savelle at Jo Nina Farm in Ochlocknee is trying to protect her citrus crop from the elements.

Savelle spent Monday morning clearing her satsuma trees of hail that fell on Sunday.

Then, she spent the afternoon covering dozens of newly planted mandarin trees.

“When we turn on the water inside this netting, it becomes a little igloo. It forms an igloo in here, of ice, and we are just anchoring it down the best we can, like so, putting three on the NW side of the tree, three of these staples, to hold it in place, and you can see it is rocking and rolling with the wind, but it is holding,” she said.
