Aiden Luciano was credited with the lone goal of the game as second-seeded Princeton Day took advantage of an own goal to shutout 11th-seeded Moorestown Friends, 1-0, in the semifinal round of the South Jersey, Non-Public B Tournament in Princeton.
JJ Acevedo led Princeton Day in net and helped recorded its third shutout of the season.
With five seconds left in the first half, as Luciano threw the ball in from the sideline, the goalkeeper for Moorestown Friends bobbled the ball, bounced off another Moorestown Friends defender and into the goal. Luicano was credited for the goal.
Princeton Day was defensively solid as it did not allow a single shot on goal all game against Moorestown Friends.
Moorestown Friends ends its season with a 4-15-1 record.
