A cold wave has begun in several states across the country. Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh are experiencing severe cold. On Monday, the minimum temperature in 13 cities across both states was below 10 degrees Celsius. Fatehpur in Rajasthan recorded the lowest temperature of 6.8 degrees Celsius, followed by Nagaur at 6.9 degrees Celsius.
Kalyanpur in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh, was the coldest city. The mercury here was recorded at 7.2 degrees. Bhopal is experiencing temperatures as cold as Shimla. The temperature here was 8.8 degrees on Monday. Shimla also had the same temperature yesterday. Bhopal experienced a severe cold wave for the third consecutive day after 37 years. Before this, a cold wave had occurred for three days in November 1988.
