DES MOINES, Iowa —

The federal trial for Ian Roberts, the former Des Moines Public Schools Superintendent arrested by ICE in September , has been postponed to March of next year.

The trial was originally set for Dec. 1, with a pretrial conference taking place Monday.

Court records show that Roberts' attorney requested the delay, and a federal judge approved the motion without objection.

The new schedule sets the trial to begin on March 2, with pretrial motions due Dec. 15.
