GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A Hall County judge has set a $1 million bond after a woman was stabbed in the chest Saturday, according to court records.
Jesus Perez San Roman, 54, of Grand Island, faces six felony charges including attempted murder and two misdemeanor charges for violating a protection order following the assault in east Grand Island.
According to the arrest affidavit, officers responded to an apartment complex on Sutherland Street. The victim told police that Perez San Roman had restricted her neck and then stabbed her in the chest.
Grand Island Police said she tried to fight back as she had defensive wounds on her hands. Another person was able to help get the knife away from the suspect as San Roman was getting ready to stab the victim again.
