PORTSMOUTH, N.H. —

Amidst a push from a small minority of Democrats to compromise with Republicans and reopen the government, a chorus of other frustrated members of the Democratic Party are decrying the move.

Among them is a voice who may come as a surprise to some: the daughter of one of the key senators who helped negotiate the deal.

Stefany Shaheen, a candidate for the House in New Hampshire's 1st Congressional District, is the daughter of longtime Sen. Jeanne Shaheen. On Monday, she said that she cannot support a deal that does not guarantee the extension of Affordable Care Act tax credits.
