Police in Boston recently seized more than two kilograms of fentanyl and made several arrests in connection to “a fentanyl distribution network operating within the community,” police said.
Police said the investigation was launched in response to suspected drug activity in the Southwest Corridor area and lasted several months.
Last week, officers executed search warrants at several locations, including 176 Stratton St. in Dorchester, 127 Hazelton St. in Mattapan, and 1059 Tremont St. in Roxbury, police said.
As a result of the operation, the following suspects were arrested: Ricky Wilson Soto-Arias, 36, of Dorchester, and Doris Baez, 37, of Mattapan, on charges of drug trafficking and unlawful possession of ammunition; Bryan Mejia, 31, of Mattapan, and Jeiel Hernandez, 44, of Boston
