INDIANAPOLIS — An exhibit honoring the Tuskegee Airmen debuted Monday at the Indianapolis International Airport just ahead of Veterans Day .

"The Tuskegee Airmen: America's Freedom Flyers" includes exhibits throughout the airport, telling the story of the Tuskegee Airmen. A large mural can be viewed in Civic Plaza and historical artifacts and other items honoring the legacy of the airmen can be found in every exhibit case in the airport's terminal.

"The Tuskegee Airmen often described their legacy as a testament to excellence, duty, and the right to serve with honor," said Indianapolis Airport Authority executive director Mario Rodriguez.
