GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Jack Vainisi has been called the architect of the Green Bay Packers for his careful crafting of players and coaches, including Vince Lombardi for the Packers.
He is considered one of the most influential people in Packers’ history.
He worked for the Packers from 1950 until his passing at the age of 33 in 1960.
On Monday at the Legacy Hotel, a group of Vainisi’s supporters gathered to say the fight to get him in the Pro Football Hall of Fame isn’t over.
Mayor Eric Genrich officially named November 27 Jack Vainisi Day.
