MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Target loss prevention reported Oct. 31 that they had a woman detained for theft and that she was a suspect in four past thefts at the store, dating back to July.

They said that she was also suspected of stealing from the Woodmere location of the business twice.

In the current theft, the Warrensville Heights woman, 44, failed to ring up one of two car seats at a self-checkout register.

She claimed that it was not her fault because the barcode did not scan properly.

But surveillance showed that she made no effort to scan it.
