This Saturday, the Camels football team will play in the 4A state title game for the first time since 2015 after a 22-19 comeback victory over Cheyenne East Friday night.
It had been a long couple of days for the team, who found out leading up to the game that Orah Garst had been fired as head coach. But under Cole White, the defensive coordinator and interim head coach, the Camels responded and fought back through the rain, snow and a second-half double-digit deficit during Friday’s semifinal game.
The Camels rode the strong legs of running back James Hahn , who carried the ball 33 times for 234 yards. In the regular season, Hahn’s game-high was 123 yards.
