Weekend-Long Lane Closures Will Affect Traffic Between Van Nuys and Westwood as Part of a $143.7 Million Pavement Improvement Project.

Caltrans has announced an extended weekend of major lane reductions on Interstate 405 through the Sepulveda Pass, warning drivers to expect significant delays and urging them to use alternate routes or public transit.

Starting at 10:00 p.m. Friday, November 14 , through 5:00 a.m. on Monday, November 17 , the 405 will be reduced to three lanes in each direction for ongoing pavement rehabilitation work between Van Nuys and Westwood.

This is likely to be the only 405 closure for this project in November, as the next weekend falls during the Thanksgiving holiday, and CalTrans has already stated that they will avoid holiday weekends when there are l
