BLOOMINGTON — Victoria Gray had just finished a rough practice as a freshman middle blocker for Indiana volleyball , and she was feeling the pressure that comes with being a Division I athlete. Gray was also feeling a bit overwhelmed, and she knew exactly what she needed.
Gray headed straight to the office of her team's director of athlete wellness, Kona Bear, who happens to be an almost 5-year-old Bordoodle (Border Collie poodle mix), who isn't just around for her adorable, furry face. Kona's abilities to calm players go much deeper than that.
