At least 37 Clark County School District employees have been let go because of enrollment declines.
CCSD told staff Friday evening that the employees, all support staffers, were unable to match with other, available positions during the reduction-in-force process.
A handful of licensed employees — a group that includes teachers — was also subject to reduction in force, but the district said in a statement that it was still “completing the placement process with these educators.”
Support staff includes everyone who isn’t a licensed teacher, administrator or CCSD Police officer — jobs such as classroom aides, drivers and clerical, janitorial and cafeteria workers.
