Gunner Stockton is coming full circle when Texas football visits Sanford Stadium for a prime-time top 10 matchup.

Stockton was thrust into playing time on the big stage of the SEC championship game against the Longhorns last December after starter Carson Beck was injured. He led Georgia to an overtime win, and his Rabun County roots and old 1984 Ford F-150 pickup truck endeared him to fans.

The redshirt junior was a big question mark heading into this season after his lone start against Notre Dame in a Sugar Bowl loss.

In ubiquitous offseason SEC quarterback rankings, Stockton was rated No. 13 by the Athletic, No. 10 by CBSSports and No. 8 by Andy Staples of On3.
