Crescent Heights Medical Clinic is closing March 31, 2026, as the clinic has failed to find replacements for several departing family physicians.

A letter from one of the physicians based at the clinic obtained by the News informed patients of the impending closure.

“For over 21 years my professional career was intrinsically linked to the patients in my practice at Crescent Heights Medical Clinic in Medicine Hat,” wrote Dr. Sergiu Ciubotaru. “That is why it is extremely difficult for me to inform you that for personal and professional reasons I am closing my practice.”

Ciubotaru says he does not have one physician or group of physicians agreeable to taking his patients, and advises his patients to consult the Palliser Primary Care Network website to search
