GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The City of Greenville has created a way for you to pay off those parking tickets while helping those in need.

From now until Dec. 12, anyone with a citation issued by the parking service can get $15 off their fine by donating 10 canned food items. This also applies to past due citations.

It’s part of the city’s annual Food for Fines campaign.

Officials said the food donations will go to benefit the Triune Mercy Center.

Donations can be dropped off at the city of Greenville parking services on Rutherford Road.
