New Delhi: Yamaha has officially stepped into India’s growing electric two-wheeler market with the unveiling of its first-ever EVs: the Aerox-E and the EC-06. The company, known for its sporty petrol-powered scooters and motorcycles, is finally joining the electric race with two scooters that aim to blend design familiarity with modern electric performance.
The Aerox-E is based on Yamaha’s popular Aerox 155, keeping the same sporty silhouette but replacing the engine with a new electric motor setup. While prices and detailed specifications are yet to be announced, Yamaha has shared key technical highlights that give a clear idea of what to expect from its first electric scooter lineup in India.
