NEW HOPE, Minn. — Crews from multiple north metro communities worked together to put down a house fire in New Hope Tuesday morning.
The fire broke out in the single-family home, located on the 8100 block of 38th Ave. N, around 6 a.m. An engine crew from the West Metro Fire Department led the attack on the fire while colleagues conducted searches on both floors of the residence. Damage to the structure is significant.
Neighbors tell KARE 11's Michelle Baik that an older man and his son live in the home. At this time, it is unclear whether anyone was inside when the fire broke out.
As of 7:30 a.m., the fire was declared extinguished, but crews remain on scene to handle flare-ups and hotspots.
