ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Thousands of dollars are being granted to historic theatres and cultural landmarks in Georgia, Fox Theatre’s philanthropy group, Fox Gives, announced Monday.
The program awarded $500,000 in single-year grants to eight theatres and landmarks, saying the funding is for upgrades and “preserving the state’s artistic heritage while driving local growth through the arts.”
“Historic theaters are more than just buildings – they are physical storytellers, cornerstones and catalysts for community revitalization,” Allan Vella, president and CEO of the Fox Theatre, said.
