A Stirling author has scooped a prestigious award at a glittering London ceremony for her latest work of poetry. ‌

Stirling’s Donna Ashworth picked up the Poetry prize at the 2025 Readers Awards, with this year’s award marking the tenth year that it is being run. ‌

Her work ‘To The Women’ was picked out as the top performer in her category by a specialist panel of judges including publishing chiefs and buyers for book giants Waterstones. ‌

Donna was presented with her award in the event at the iconic Foyle’s book shop in London’s Charing Cross Road - and TV presenter and best-selling author Clare Balding was there to offer her congratulations.
