Maryland Democratic Sens. Chris Van Hollen and Angela Alsobrooks again voted no on a federal funding bill to end the federal government shutdown.
The measure passed Monday by a vote of 60 to 40. Van Hollen said the bill fails to prevent the looming health care crisis and rein in President Donald Trump’s “lawless actions.”
Alsobrooks said the continuing resolution does nothing to help struggling Marylanders afford health care.
The legislation now heads to the House for a vote that could take place vote as soon as Wednesday.
